Position: Consultant – Logistics & Coordination Support (CHRDs UPR Workshop 2)
Location: Remote, with travel to Bangkok
Duration: 15 December 2025 – 15 February 2026
Estimated Level of Effort: ~15–16 working days (spread flexibly over the period)
Daily Rate: Up to 3,000 THB/day (depending on experience)
1. ABOUT AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL THAILAND
Amnesty International Thailand (AITH) is part of a global movement working to protect and promote human rights for all. We support and empower rights-holders, including children and youth, to meaningfully participate in shaping decisions that affect their lives.
In partnership with Child Rights Connect (CRC), AITH will organise the second Child Human Rights Defenders (CHRDs) UPR Workshop on 31 January – 1 February 2026 in Bangkok. This workshop enables CHRDs — including children who are stateless, refugee, or from marginalised communities — to contribute directly to Thailand’s Universal Periodic Review (UPR).
2. ABOUT THE ROLE
AITH is seeking a consultant to provide logistics, coordination, communication, and safeguarding-related support for the CHRDs UPR Workshop 2.
The consultant will ensure safe, inclusive, and seamless participation for all children, guardians, and youth activists, while coordinating with AITH internal teams on procurement, payments, and compliance with financial and safeguarding procedures.
Approved travel and accommodation costs related to the workshop will be covered in accordance with AITH procedures.
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Logistics & Coordination
- Coordinate all travel, accommodation, and transport arrangements for participants, guardians, and mentors
- Prepare and share logistics packs, safeguarding contacts, and travel instructions
- Maintain a complete participant database and contact list
- Communicate regularly with participants and guardians via phone, email, or Signal
B. Workshop Implementation
- Support venue preparation, materials, supplies, and onsite registration
- Provide in-person coordination and troubleshoot issues (e.g., delays, dietary needs, welfare concerns)
- Liaise with AITH staff throughout the workshop
C. Financial & Administrative Support
- Support logistical payments, per diems, reimbursements, and allowances in line with AITH financial procedures
- Collect, organise and submit receipts and documentation to Finance
- Coordinate procurement with the Admin Team
D. Post-Workshop
- Prepare a final logistical and financial completion report
- Summarise lessons learned and provide recommendations for future workshops
4. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience in logistics, event coordination, administration, or project support (NGO/INGO experience preferred)
- Experience working with children, youth, refugee or stateless communities
- Understanding of child safeguarding and protection principles
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to respond calmly to last-minute changes and challenges
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
- Thai fluency required

Role Overview: Supporter Engagement Officer (Database Management) will play a critical role in fostering strong relationships with members and supporters, driving engagement, and ensuring alignment with Amnesty International Thailand’s mission. The role requires a proactive individual passionate about human rights, equipped with excellent people and communication skills, and committed to enhancing supporter engagement and retention. This role also plays a key part in managing CRM systems and leveraging supporter data to inform strategies, improving personalization, and delivering targeted engagement—especially through tools like EDM and digital outreach.
Key Responsibilities
Member Outreach and Retention
- Engage with current and former members through various communication channels to provide updates, gather feedback, and deepen their connection to Amnesty’s mission.
- Contribute to the development and take the lead in implementing strategies for membership renewals and the re-engagement of lapsed members, using targeted communications and supporter data.
Supporter Insight and Lead Identification
- Identify supporters with high engagement potential for donation, volunteering, or campaign collaboration.
- Provide insights from supporter interactions to help inform donor cultivation and fundraising strategies.
- Use CRM data to support segmentation and engagement planning.
Data Management, CRM System and Platform Support
- Maintain and continuously improve CRM systems to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of supporter data for Amnesty International Thailand.
- Segment audiences for targeted communication and personalized engagement.
- Plan and implement EDM campaigns in collaboration with relevant teams, in consultation with the supervisor.
- Monitor and report on key metrics to improve digital engagement effectiveness.
- Support the use and development of volunteer/community engagement platforms to strengthen real-time connection with supporters.
- Analyse supporter behaviour to inform planning and measure impact.
Supporter Journey and Community Engagement
- Collaborate with Campaign, Activism, and Fundraising teams to map and implement integrated supporter journeys—from member to activist to donor.
- Support the intake, onboarding, and retention of new volunteers and activists, ensuring smooth transitions and shared ownership across teams.
- Foster online and offline community spaces for activists, volunteers, and members, curating engagement activities that deepen relationships and build long-term connection to Amnesty’s mission.
Event and Activity Coordination
- Work with supervisors and teams to plan and execute events and activities to engage members and supporters and show appreciation for their contributions.
- Take the lead in coordinating and managing events, ensuring meaningful and inclusive experience for participants, build leadership, and collecting feedback to improve future activities.
- Ensure that events and actions align with Amnesty’s campaign priorities and other human rights initiatives, contributing to regional and global impact.
Collaboration and Cross-Team Communication
- Ensure consistent messaging and supporter experience across fundraising, campaigning, and activism efforts.
- Serve as a liaison between supporters and the organization, helping channel feedback, resolve issues, and inform cross-functional strategies.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that enhance supporter experience and organizational impact, and movement cohesion.
Essential Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, with at least 1–2 years in a role involving CRM database management, supporter segmentation, or digital engagement campaigns (e.g., EDM).
- Proven ability to execute engagement campaigns and manage supporter journeys.
- Experience with data-driven decision making in a non-profit, membership, or advocacy organization.
Essential Knowledge
- Understanding of human rights and social justice issues.
- Familiarity with best practices in supporter engagement and retention.
- Awareness of Amnesty International’s global and regional campaigns.
Essential Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Monday.com).
- Experience with EDM platforms (e.g., Mailchimp).
- Strong data literacy and ability to interpret supporter metrics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in Thai and English.
