CONSULTANT: LOGISTICS & COORDINATION SUPPORT (CHRDS UPR WORKSHOP 2)

Position: Consultant – Logistics & Coordination Support (CHRDs UPR Workshop 2)
Location: Remote, with travel to Bangkok
Duration: 15 December 2025 – 15 February 2026
Estimated Level of Effort: ~15–16 working days (spread flexibly over the period)
Daily Rate: Up to 3,000 THB/day (depending on experience)

1. ABOUT AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL THAILAND

Amnesty International Thailand (AITH) is part of a global movement working to protect and promote human rights for all. We support and empower rights-holders, including children and youth, to meaningfully participate in shaping decisions that affect their lives.

In partnership with Child Rights Connect (CRC), AITH will organise the second Child Human Rights Defenders (CHRDs) UPR Workshop on 31 January – 1 February 2026 in Bangkok. This workshop enables CHRDs — including children who are stateless, refugee, or from marginalised communities — to contribute directly to Thailand’s Universal Periodic Review (UPR).

2. ABOUT THE ROLE

AITH is seeking a consultant to provide logistics, coordination, communication, and safeguarding-related support for the CHRDs UPR Workshop 2.
The consultant will ensure safe, inclusive, and seamless participation for all children, guardians, and youth activists, while coordinating with AITH internal teams on procurement, payments, and compliance with financial and safeguarding procedures.

Approved travel and accommodation costs related to the workshop will be covered in accordance with AITH procedures.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Logistics & Coordination

  • Coordinate all travel, accommodation, and transport arrangements for participants, guardians, and mentors
  • Prepare and share logistics packs, safeguarding contacts, and travel instructions
  • Maintain a complete participant database and contact list
  • Communicate regularly with participants and guardians via phone, email, or Signal

B. Workshop Implementation

  • Support venue preparation, materials, supplies, and onsite registration
  • Provide in-person coordination and troubleshoot issues (e.g., delays, dietary needs, welfare concerns)
  • Liaise with AITH staff throughout the workshop

C. Financial & Administrative Support

  • Support logistical payments, per diems, reimbursements, and allowances in line with AITH financial procedures
  • Collect, organise and submit receipts and documentation to Finance
  • Coordinate procurement with the Admin Team

D. Post-Workshop

  • Prepare a final logistical and financial completion report
  • Summarise lessons learned and provide recommendations for future workshops

4. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in logistics, event coordination, administration, or project support (NGO/INGO experience preferred)
  • Experience working with children, youth, refugee or stateless communities
  • Understanding of child safeguarding and protection principles
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to respond calmly to last-minute changes and challenges
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Thai fluency required
